Terms of Use
Last updated: 13 September 2026
Dieses Dokument ist auf Englisch und Spanisch verfügbar; unten die englische Fassung.
These terms govern the use of the Faro app and purchases made on farosoft.dev. By installing the app or buying a license you accept them.
Who offers Faro
Faro is developed and distributed by Faro (farosoft.dev), a project run by an independent developer based in Uruguay. Contact: support@farosoft.dev.
Free version and trial
The Free version is free forever and includes the features marked as such on farosoft.dev. When you first install the app you get a 14-day trial with every Pro feature; when it ends, those features are disabled until you enter a Pro key. The Free version keeps working with no time limit.
Pro license
When you buy Faro Pro you receive a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable license to use the Pro features:
- One license is valid for one person on all the Macs they personally use.
- Pro includes every update of the current major version (1.x). Pro Lifetime additionally includes all future versions at no extra cost.
- The key is personal: you may not share, publish or resell it, nor use it on third parties’ computers. A key shared publicly or used abusively may be revoked.
- You can deactivate and reactivate the key on your Macs as often as you need.
Purchases and prices
Purchases are made through Lemon Squeezy, which acts as merchant of record, issues the invoice and handles applicable taxes. Prices are shown in US dollars; the final amount may include taxes depending on your country. Before buying you can try every Pro feature free for 14 days, so you decide with the app already in use. For any question about an order write to support@farosoft.dev.
Permitted use
You may install Faro on the Macs you use and make backup copies. You may not decompile, modify or redistribute the app, circumvent the licensing system, or use the app for unlawful activities. The app requires macOS 14 or later.
Permissions and user responsibility
Some features need system permissions (Accessibility, Screen Recording, Automation, Notifications). You decide whether to grant them; without them the corresponding feature is unavailable, but the rest of the app keeps working. You are responsible for the actions you perform with the app, such as quitting apps, emptying the Trash or moving apps to the Trash.
Warranty and limitation of liability
Faro is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Every effort is made to keep it working correctly, but it is not guaranteed to be free of errors or interruptions. To the extent permitted by law, the developer’s total liability towards you is limited to the amount you paid for the license. Nothing in these terms limits the rights granted to you by the consumer laws of your country.
Intellectual property
Faro, its code, design, icons and texts are the property of its developer. macOS, Finder and other Apple trademarks belong to Apple Inc.; Faro is an independent product and is neither affiliated with nor endorsed by Apple.
Changes to the service and to these terms
The app may receive updates that add, change or remove features. These terms may be updated; the version in force is always the one published on this page, with its date. Changes do not reduce the rights of licenses already purchased.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay. In case of any dispute we will first try to resolve it amicably by email.
